In this episode of The Beer Leaguer Podcast, we're breaking down seven of the most common reasons beer league hockey teams fall apart—and surprisingly few of them have much to do with what happens on the ice. We talk about what happens when one person becomes responsible for registration, jerseys, money, scheduling and every other job nobody notices until that person stops doing it. We also talk about the dreaded attendance death spiral, why both tiny rosters and gigantic rosters can create. The biggest theme running through all seven? Communication. Most of these problems aren't unavoidable disasters. Teams can usually see them coming—but only if players are willing to talk about them before a minor annoyance turns into the reason half the roster leaves.
